Who we are

Master Artist ("we", "us", "our") runs music, art, design, film and baking classes for children and adults from our studio in Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it's handled, in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

What we collect

• Enquiry and trial-booking details you give us — name, child's name and age, phone/WhatsApp number, email.
• Enrolment and billing details for registered students — address, payment records, attendance.
• Photographs and video of classes and student work, taken at the studio.
• Basic website usage data (e.g. which pages are viewed) and messages sent to us via WhatsApp or email.

Why we collect it

• To respond to enquiries and arrange trial classes.
• To manage enrolment, scheduling, billing and attendance for registered students.
• To share updates about classes and terms with enrolled families.
• To publish photographs of classes and student work — only where written parental consent has been given, as described below.

Photographs of children

We never publish a photograph or video that identifies a child without written consent from a parent or guardian on file. Consent is recorded against each photo before it is used anywhere public, including this website and our social media. You can withdraw consent at any time by messaging us — the photo will be taken down.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the service providers that run our booking, billing and website systems (currently Supabase for data storage), and only to the extent needed to run the studio.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as reasonably useful for following up, and enrolled-student records for the duration of enrolment plus a reasonable retention period afterward for accounting purposes. Photo consent records are kept for as long as the related photo remains in use.

Your rights

Under the PDPA, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent (including photo consent) at any time. Contact us using the details below.
